World-class quality music, entertainment and catering. The colorful and authentic performances consist of the breathtaking dances
and songs of Polynesia with a lively audience participation. All presentations are performed to the accompaniment of only the finest Polynesian music, and in lavish costuming. We'll even set the theme with props and mood music, and our evening shows further transport you to your island paradise with ambient lighting.
Our family has been involved in the teaching and performing of Hawai'ian culture and art for multiple generations, and the unique style and knowledge has been carefully passed down over the years. Our cousin CHINO MONTERO who performs with AMY GILLIOM ("Generation Hawai'i", "Hawai'ian Tradition", "Amy & Willie Live", "Aumakua", "Nostalgia"...) , NAPUA GREIG ("Pihana") and formerly of the world famous singing group, PALOLO (Hawai'ian Girl, Palolo and Kaliuwa'a), is a world-renown and venerated musician specializing in the traditional and contemporary songs of Hawai'i. The Kumu/Director of this award winning performance group has trained with the foremost Hawai'iana/Polynesian experts in the world; her mother, LOKELANI (Song Bird of Mau'i) - LENA MACHADO and KU'ULEI STIBBARD; and VIOLA AKI - LOKALIA MONTGOMERY and MARY KAWENA PUKU'I. Her parent's dynamic Polynesian performing group, "LOKELANI'S ISLANDERS". "Lokelani's Islanders" was the first commercially successful Polynesian dance and musician group within the state of California (1962), and it was through the individual efforts of Kumu Lokelani that the Hawai'ian culture started to flourish on the West Coast. Lokelani performed for many years on the Hawai'i Calls - "Under the Banyan Tree" as well as with Genoa Keawe, Arthur Godrey, Don Ho, Bob Hope, her mentor Lena Machado and an array of world renowned Hawai'ian entertainers. Today Lokelani still performs at private functions and venues.

Your generous donations make it possible for HAWAI'IAN HULA HIPS, INC./HULA HALAU HO'OPALAMA to take its educational services, at reduced rates, to K-12 schools, senior centers, museums and educational facilities throughout the United States.
