| A party isn't really a party without dancing and dancing certainly can't happen without music! So whether you are planning for a wedding or a birthday, an anniversary or a going-away party, you will need some music to make it go off without a hitch. In every one of these situations, a live band could be the way to go. While a good DJ is there get your guests to dance, and they are certainly an acceptable choice for any occasion, live bands create an entirely different atmosphere. You will not be listening to recordings, so guests will interact far more with actual musicians, creating a more social atmosphere. A truly outstanding live band will get your guests into the party spirit more than any DJ, especially if they have a great attitude. Try and find a band that will include their audience in the show, maybe bringing the guest of honor (if your event has one) up on stage, or pointing the microphone out into the crowd so they can sing the words. You can also find all types of music when you go out looking for live bands. Some will be cover bands that play either songs from a specific band, or one era of music, or just a wide variety of classics from all the decades and all the genres. There are also live bands that have their own songs and are looking for exposure, so they play private events. Even though your guests may not be able to sing along, unless they know a lot of local bands, these people can sometimes be the best musicians and make the greatest parties. |
