One of the first steps in planning a wedding is figuring out the color theme of the ceremony and reception. For example, it's nice to have the bridesmaids dresses match the neck ties that the men will wear as well as the linens on the tables. Then, hints of that same color can be put into the wedding flowers as well as another color or two that will compliment the first color. Popular combinations include pink and chocolate brown, black and white and sage green and orange. Once the colors for the wedding are determined, it's important to find a florist in your area that specializes in wedding flowers. It's always a good idea to interview different florists and ask to see their portfolio which should include pictures of and information about wedding flowers they have done in the past before making a decision. On your special day, the wedding flowers will make everything look absolutely beautiful. Whether you're only using flowers as bouquets for the bride and bridesmaids or plan to have flowers at every table at the reception, a good florist will know how to combine the right flowers and colors to make your wedding spectacular.
